What does Game Theory have to do with Plans?

The belief-desire model underlying game-theoretical (GT) analysis of strategic interaction has been criticized by philosopher of action, such as Michael Bratman, who stressed that it cannot account for the role played by intentions and plans. How should GT react to this? I will argue that it already has what it takes to cope with intentions and plans of ideal agents: the concept of strategy. On the other hand, I will try to show that plans and intentions can play a key role in gametheoretical modeling of cognitively bounded agents because, for such agents, the task of constructing a decision problem is as important as finding what is the best
